Trawling Lookbook.nu for shopping inspiration on a Monday morning.. (while Don continues sleeping and being irritated with me when I try to wake him >:E) Some of my favourite looks:

This is what people wear in Prague apparently.. (Heard that they dress like tiongs and after seeing the few posts from Prague-ians, I almost believe it.. This is one of the better ones lor)

Insane or what?! It's like -4 deg cel there now. People living in Europe are seriously cold-resistant. Weather report says there might be hail on Friday (heads up [info]undaneh!) It was 7 deg in Japan when we went and I was already wrapped up like a ba zhang.

And zomg fashionistas are getting younger and younger these days. This kid is only 10 years old!

Contemplating getting a new coat and boots now. Hmmmmm.

Decided to take some time off from the age of the world wide web. Hiatus from Twitter, Tumblr, FB and this livejournal, at least until I get back to Sydney to do summer school. Adios folks!

Decided to try to clear out some of the stuff I don't wear/can no longer fit me from my wardrobe!

Hello people! Sorry i haven't been updating this space as much as i ought to. Kindda actually thinking of shutting this down since i'm always on twitter instead. I'm just too lazy to religiously update here on LJ whereas i can always tweet from my blackberry. Speaking of which, BB rocks my socks! Everyone should just get a BB so we can BBM everyday haha! My BB's my baby that i seriously cannot live without.

Just some quick update:
- December was a month of travelling for me. BKK with shizzling and belzzing was mad fun! We also took a 2d1n tour to Kanchanaburi and had a ball of a time there with stumps and angel as well. All that money spent was worth it :) Korea with my shan and mommy was great too. It was and still is winter there now and we went skiing and experienced snow. Made a very good friend - my little princess gail. Actually kindda miss the cold (-17degrees celcius) right now.

School's starting on the 6th.. so dreading it already!

31st of December, again. Lots to do. Review of the year, reviewing resolutions, making new resolutions, the quiz...

So here goes.

2009, by month. )

The end of the year always makes me (and other people, I'm sure) think back on the past 363 days or so and is a ripe time for reflection. On the good things, the bad, and the highlights. As always I am especially grateful for all the people I have to give my love to, to talk with, to hold hands with, to just BE WITH. 2009 has been amazing but despite its ups there are also downs. This year, I am particularly glad for social networking! Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr have been invaluable companions and an incredible link to my old life back in Singapore. And perhaps the thing that I am most grateful for upon hindsight, are my housemates! Seriously could not have survived the year without them. The nightly dinners first in front of Min's laptop watching Family Guy (giggity) and then in front of the telly fixated on Masterchef and Two and a Half men and the various friday and saturday night movies. The attempts at 'going out of Sydney', the shopping, the overnighters, the attempted studying, the smoke alarm disasters, the decomposing food, the late night talks around the dining table or on someone's un-vacuumed floor. I'll remember everything, and I just hope next year I'll be able to pull through without them just 20 ft away from me.

My room in my very first apartment, felt like home so much and because I had put in so much heart to make it my own: polaroids, posters, photos, cushions and little touches, and of course because I shared it with such wonderful people!!

and because Yvette is the only one with livej, I can afford to be openly biased here heehee shhh
THANK YOU FOR YOU YVETTE SEOW!

NATANIAAA who is like my bitching/eating/everything partner in crime, I'm so glad you're in Sydney with me you poot.

And of course, I may not be super close to my siblings but I know that they've got my back no matter what, and I've got theirs.

And definitely the chance to reunite with my extended but very very dysfunctional family.

But there's still nothing like the love I come home to, and the reason I fly 3912 miles back.

This year was also full of flying! My private joke with myself is that I flew in airplanes more than I took MRT. My holidays to BKK last year, back to sg in May and also to visit Keish in Brisbane, June to Melb, July to the UK, September (I think) to Tokyo and Nikko, and to SFO and Hawaii in Nov/Dec, and off to Bangkok again tomorrow.

And something that I'll remember and cherish for a long long time, is Ness flying up to see me and only me (heehee)!!! It was freezing and she hates the cold, and every night we would lie awake under 3 blankets, me in shorts and tshirt and her in her socks, leggings, pyjama pants and sweater, and talk a bit or swop iphones to play each other's games and gradually fall into dreamland.

So thank you Nessa I ♥ you!
And thank you, 2009, for being more amazing than 2008, and here's to everyone-- wishing you an even better 2010. I'm gonna rock it, and I hope you do too.

xoxo, J

Just try and get up
You've gotta slowly push off
I know that words aren't enough
But you're better than this

Save your heart
For someone who leaves you breathless
And I know that you're scared
Seems like someone said
You had it in you
All along
You said you knew this was wrong
But still worth dying for.

Save your heart
For someone worth dying for
Don't give it away

My apparent lack of urgency is making me anxious, now that everyone's flying off for their exchange sems and Xy and I have yet to book our air tickets. Been checking out flights online for the past hour and I am appalled at the prices on European airlines (with the exception of British Airways)! Czech Airlines is charging $3,000 to fly to Prague and back? The Turkish and Dutch airlines are no better. Rip-offs. Too bad Malaysia Airlines doesn't fly to Prague (too obscure). I'm like their #1 fan right now, thanks to the super cheap tickets to Tokyo we bought. Just checked their website and they have lots of promotional rates again!! Quick quick go book if you're thinking of going to Tokyo/London etc etc.

Finally got my BB bold on Christmas Eve! I'm glad I waited for it cos comparing it to the older Bold, the size difference is really quite big. The trackpad is also better I think, doesn't trap dirt or get stuck. There are so many functions, like BBM, MSN, Facebook, etc etc (I used to use a normal un-smart phone so pardon my raving okay) that I'm always fiddling with it. Keep trying to persuade Don to get one so we can exploit the BBM service but he says it's a 'social trap' haha. So true. Too late! Already hopped onto the bandwagon. I always get mildly annoyed when I meet friends and they're constantly texting/bbming and now I do that too, sometimes. I think in about a week I'll get used to having a new phone and stop being so socially retarded.

Finally showed Don my blog, thanks to the barrage of direct quotes from Pearl last Sunday -.- HI DONNY IF YOU'RE READING THIS!! I find it so weird that people actually read my blog, it's so boring hahaha.

Ok it's 4:30am, goodnight!!
